The Threshing Barn is a unique home from home, set on Old Manor Farm in Torquay, and it’s perfect for a break with your extended family. A contemporary, open plan living, kitchen and dining space means it’s easy to relax as a group in style, and the barn’s historic features include exposed wooden beams that create a cosy feel throughout.
When the sun shines, the communal gardens make a peaceful place to spend time together and let the kids enjoy the trampoline, and there’s a barbeque for those evenings when you fancy dining al fresco. The stone walls that enclose the garden nod to the farm’s history, and the apple trees that dot it once belonged to the old orchard that called the site home.
When evening closes in, it’s time to head up the chic stylish staircase from the living area and find your bedroom, and whichever you opt for you’ll discover a welcoming space to help you unwind after a busy day. The master bedroom has a beautiful super king size bed, the second bedroom has a king size bed, and the third bedroom has a king size bed that can also be arranged to form twins. The third bedroom’s just right for the younger members of the group, thanks to stylish bunk beds.
And then there’s the bathroom, with a roll top bath to add a little luxury to your stay, you’ll be dreaming of long soaks in the bubbles even before you’ve unpacked…enjoy!
Please note: The Threshing Barn can be booked together with Honeysuckle and Sweet Rose to accommodate up to 14.
This property especially welcomes families. A cot and highchair is provided plus stairgate, children's cutlery, giant trampoline and enclosed garden. A baby sitting service is available and there are safe lights in hallways.
The Threshing Barn was part of the complex which won the 2013 South West Hospitality Awards for the best self catering accommodation and was the runner up in 2014.

The Threshing Barn is excellently situated within Torquay where you will find a diverse range of activities available to you whether you're into the country side, beaches, shops, restaurants, cinemas, theatres, bars, clubs, golf, sailing, tennis, squash, diving, fishing, tenpin and green bowling, saunas, steam rooms, jacuzzis and pools! Whether you like to walk, rest or play there is something for all.Nearby there is an excellent selection of local shops while Torquay town centre, the harbour and beaches are a short drive away. Watcombe Beach is 1/2 mile away and offers free parking at the top of the incline allowing you to access either the South West Coast path or the beach.The beach at Watcombe is accessed via a fairly steep slope however provides spectacular scenery and secluded beach with a beach cafe. It is dog friendly all year round. If you don’t want the walk down, try one of Torquays other 21 beaches, with Oddicombe and its tram just along to the right.Take the coast path and admire the stunning scenery - in one direction Maidencombe and in the other St Marychurch and Oddicombe beach.
