A characterful, terraced cottage, within a fifteen minute walk of Brixham Harbour and the South West Coast Path. This is the perfect base for a family or small group of friends to enjoy a traditional coastal holiday. The period cottage is accessed via a few steps leading up from the road and once inside the cottage feels light and modern. The hallway leads into the sitting room with a dining area and a gas fire to warm your toes after a day’s exploring. Through an archway is the well-equipped kitchen with a door leading outside. Upstairs are two double bedrooms sharing a bathroom. Once outside, you will enter the courtyard garden, which is a sun trap providing a lovely quiet spot to relax on a summer evening whilst enjoying some alfresco dining. A short walk away is the busy Brixham Harbour, on the south of Tor Bay, where over 100 fishing boats land and sell their catch every day on the quayside. Close to the mouth of Brixham Harbour is Breakwater Beach, which is one of the cleanest beaches on the English Riviera, South Devon’s beautiful bay. Not only is it a Blue Flag beach, but it has a Seaside Award and has been recommended by the Good Beach Guide. Further afield, why not take the ferry to Dartmouth, which has a good reputation for fashionable restaurants, interesting boutiques and of course, all the amusement and activity along the waterfront. Alternatively take a boat trip and cruise up the River Dart to Greenway, Agatha Christie’s former holiday home, and spend the afternoon in the lively market town of Totnes? For a great day out why not try the beaches of Torquay and Paignton as an alternative. The English Riviera has more attractions than any other seaside resort in the UK! This cosy cottage is part of the important heritage of this charming fishing harbour making it a suitable holiday home at any time of the year.
