About this property

This welcoming, traditional cottage is set on the edge of the beautiful Exmoor National Park, a few miles from the coastline of Somerset. The spacious two bedrooms and the delightful stream-side balcony make this home ideal for a family, friends or romantic retreat. Hidden away amongst the woodland of Somerset, you'll be able to take in the scenery from outside of your cottage by relaxing in the seating area at the front of the house. Walking into the house, you will be welcomed by an appealing living area, perfect for staying warm and cosy during those cooler evenings. Continuing on the ground floor, you'll discover a fully-equipped kitchen where you can cook up a storm whilst looking out over the lovely country views and pretty stream running through the woodlands. The dining room is perfect for the group to gather around and enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal together; with a balcony overlooking the stream, it is the ideal place to have a glass of wine or to just sit back, relax, and take in the delightful scenery. Upstairs you'll find a master bedroom with its own TV and a spacious twin bedroom, with both bedrooms having picture perfect views looking out onto the stream. Separating the two bedrooms is a modern shower room with a refreshing design that balances this traditional cottage with a contemporary feel. The local pub is a short stroll away, perfect for having a bite to eat and some drinks. Close by is the Cistercian Abbey of Cleeve, a haven of peace and tranquillity, where visitors can catch a glimpse of monastic life over 800 years ago. The harbour village of Watchet is only a short drive, with quirky shops, a steam railway and boat rides to enjoy. Dunster is just 5 miles away and is home to a fantastic castle, plus the beaches at Minehead are slightly further afield by car. For a spot of history, visit the magnificent Dunster Castle, a former motte and bailey castle lying on top of a steep hill, with over 1,000 years of history to discover. A traditional cottage set in a dreamy location and the perfect spot to relax and unwind of an evening.
