The kitchen is fully equipped and provides a space for you to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner, accompanied by a small dining area at which to enjoy it. Head up the staircase to find the twin room resting in the eaves, which evokes a lovely touch of charm, brought together with thoughtful attention to detail. There is an en-suite cloakroom on this floor, however a shower room is positioned downstairs, boasting an electric power shower and modern finish. The cottage has a private garden proving a peaceful sunny spot to unwind. Use the space outside at your leisure; sit and enjoy a refreshing drink at the garden table while the green grass tickles your toes, the hedgerow offers privacy as you delve into a good read. Stroll along to the local Babbling Brook Inn, only half a mile away, serving food and has a well renowned Sunday Carvery. Discover The Coleridge way through Quantock Hills AONB, a fabulous region for walkers to enjoy. In the nearby village of Nether Stowey is the National Trust property, Coleridge Cottage, the home of the romantic poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge who wrote the Rime of the Ancient Mariner. The West Somerset Coastal Path and Steart Beach and Nature Reserve are only a short drive away. Further afield are the sandy beaches of Weston-super-Mere and Blue Anchor. Cheddar Gorge and The medieval city of Wells are approximately 45 minutes away. The Norman castle of Dunster on the edge of Exmoor is approximately 40 minutes away. If you are looking to do some shopping there is Clarks Village Outlet Centre near Glastonbury where you can pick up a bargain. For fishermen, the local Burton Springs Fishery is one of Somerset's finest and most tranquil fisheries are just around the corner. In November the UK’s oldest carnival is held in Bridgwater, illuminated floats parade through the town. Little Woodcot provides a fabulous location all year round for exploring this beautiful area of Somerset.
Burton is situated near the beautiful Quantock Hills and the Somerset coastline, with a welcoming country pub with a restaurant in walking distance. Nearby, the village of Stogursey offers a friendly pub, Post Office and shops. This idyllic, rural area of Somerset is popular with keen walkers and cyclists, who enjoy exploring The Coleridge Way. This long distance trail leads through the Quantock Hills, the Brendon Hills and Exmoor.

Clean and well maintained. Well situated for the variety of attractions Somerset has to offer. Information leaflets, lots of DVDs and a few books available for use during guestsâ stay.

Much larger than the photos indicate. Very well equipped, including a washing machine. Great TV and WiFi. Sofa is really comfy. Close to the coast and lovely walks. We will be returning. Highly recommend.

Importantly, the owners were very helpful and friendly. Location was great for walking and exploring. Would recommend it to other visitors as a great place to stay. We're hoping to be back next year!
