Watermill Cottage in Porlock enjoys a delightful and peaceful setting in the wooded vale of Hawkcombe alongside the river in one of the most popular villages within the Exmoor National Park and within a short walk of the village amenities. Sleeps up to 4 guests in two bedrooms.

Accommodation

The accommodation is arranged over two levels. The front entrance to the cottage is on the ground floor and opens into an entrance hall, where there are two bedrooms, one double with a double antique brass bed with en-suite shower room and one twin bedroom. There is also a ground floor bathroom comprising shower over the bath, toilet and hand basin. From both downstairs bedrooms, you are lulled to sleep with the gentle and relaxing sounds of the stream that runs alongside the front of the house. It's lovely to leave the windows ajar to go to sleep and awake with this almost mystical peaceful sound.
For your comfort, all beds are fitted duck/goose down pillows and all with electric blankets.
The stairs from the hall lead to the first floor and open into the sitting-dining room, enjoying pleasant woodland views. There is a wood-burner for cosy evenings in and a stable door leads out onto a small patio at the rear for easy dining al fresco in the warmer months. The separate kitchen, with all mod cons for your absolute convenience. As a keen cook myself, there is also a fully stoked herb cupboard so if you like Indian cooking please just help yourselves!
