Magnolia Cottage is a lovely cottage in a quiet area of Porlock called Hawkcombe, within easy walking distance of the village amenities. The cottage sleeps 4 guests in two bedrooms (+ a sofa bed is for occasional use) There is central heating via a Rayburn, & an electric cooker, washer/D, & dish/W.
Accommodation
Magnolia Cottage kitchen is fitted with an electric oven and hob in addition to the Aga-style range. There is also a microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, kettle and toaster.
There is a Smart TV in the sitting room, a selection of board games and wireless broadband is available throughout the property.
Electricity and heating costs are included in the price of your accommodation. Magnolia Cottage has central heating which can be adjusted to suit your preferences. There is also a wood-burner in the sitting room; a basket of logs will be provided. The cottage is double glazed throughout.
Bed linen and towels are provided for your convenience.
There are two stair gates provided.
There is a wide selection of brochures and booklets with suggestions of thing to do & places to go, in the cottage. There are also a variety of board games and DVDs in the cottage.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Magnolia cottage, the cottage is very pretty, clean, comfortable and with everything we needed. Hawkcombe is a peaceful, picturesque part of Porlock with lots of walks nearby and the village amenities within a short walk. Margaret and Martin, the owners, were extrem.... We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Magnolia cottage, the cottage is very pretty, clean, comfortable and with everything we needed. Hawkcombe is a peaceful, picturesque part of Porlock with lots of walks nearby and the village amenities within a short walk. Margaret and Martin, the owners, were extremely helpful in providing everything we needed with family members coming to stay including some toys for our grandson. We wouldn't hesitate to return.

A lovely week's stay in this delightful cottage. The owners are very welcoming and made me feel so “at home” that I would certainly stay again. Hawkcombe is a like a little settlement all of it's own, with the stream rushing by and the Tawny Owls hooting in the woods at night. Of course, Porlo.... A lovely week's stay in this delightful cottage. The owners are very welcoming and made me feel so “at home” that I would certainly stay again. Hawkcombe is a like a little settlement all of it's own, with the stream rushing by and the Tawny Owls hooting in the woods at night. Of course, Porlock is a great place from which to explore Exmoor in all it's majestic and rugged beauty. I've been coming to Porlock for nearly 50 years but, in all that time, I've not had a better week.

Ruhig gelegenes Cottage. Direkt vor dem Haus plätschert ein kleiner Bach, hinter dem Haus kann man direkt in den Wald wandern. Die Straße zum Cottage ist recht schmal, stellt aber kein Problem dar. Das Cottage war sehr gut ausgestattet und die Besitzer waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir .... Ruhig gelegenes Cottage.
