Arriving in Porlock Weir and stepping through the door of the Crows Nest is like stepping back in time. The house is idyllic, cosy and packed with quirky features. I enjoyed every moment of staying there. The view from every window was breathtaking I loved that I had the constant noise of the sea.... I enjoyed every moment of staying there. The view from every window was breathtaking I loved that I had the constant noise of the sea in the background. My favourite room was the dining kitchen. The only thing that was disappointing was that I had to go home. Will definitely visit again next year.

The Crow's Nest is in a fantastic position in Porlock Weir, but I feel we should have be warned officially about the damp issue and at this stage in the season the house needed a deep clean, especially the en-suite shower room. The space is amazing - we were able to take our dog's cage and she was very happy in the large dining room. The bedrooms were a lovely size but the damp on the windows was a concern. The bedding was of a good standard. The kitchen was very well equipped and having milk in the fridge and tea bags & coffee for a drink on arrival was very welcome. The internet was a bit hit and miss - if one of us was on our phones the TV would stall. We enjoyed our stay in Porlock Weir but unless the things mentioned are addressed I would not stay again at this property.

The cottage was spacious well equipped and very comfortable. Well placed for visiting some great spots in Exmoor and North Devon. Perfect for dining in Porlock Weir, just a short stroll away. We had a fab week there during one of the hottest weeks in September for several years.
