Coachman's Cottage, West Porlock (Somerset) offers a unique bolthole for couples seeking a peaceful coastal retreat. The charming old stable block has been renovated to a high standard yet retains many charming original features (please note, rather steep stairs up to the bedroom).
Accommodation
Coachman's Cottage kitchen is fitted with dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer, microwave, electric oven and hob. Other equipment includes toaster, kettle, a variety of kitchen utensils, cutlery, crockery and glasses.
A Smart television (with Freeview) and CD player is provided in the living room plus a second television in the bedroom and wireless broadband is available throughout the property.
A travel cot and/or high chair is available; please request them when booking so we can make sure they are present for your arrival.
Electricity and heating costs are included in the price of your accommodation. Coachman's Cottage is fitted with central heating throughout, plus underfloor heating in the bathroom. There is also a log-burner in the living room, one basket of logs will be provided to get you started and additional logs can be purchased from the hardware shop in Porlock.
Bed linen, duvets, blankets and towels are provided for your convenience, but please bring your own beach towels if you wish to take towels with you on day trips. Bed linen is not supplied for the cot.
Small amounts of basic supplies are provided - salt, pepper, oil, tea, coffee, sugar, toilet rolls, washing up materials etc.

We had a great stay. Our host was friendly and relaxed, the cottage was spotless and we had everything we needed. It really was a home from home. We really appreciated the use of the orchard for our dog Paddy. The location is great as we could leave the car behind and walk into the village one way, .... We had a great stay. Our first visit to Coachman’s cottage. We really enjoyed the privacy here, and the secure areas for the dogs are great. David is a charming, helpful and knowledgeable host. The area is beautiful with lots of walks on the doorstep. We will definitely be back.

This was our fourth stay here, which says it all really. We love that you can walk out the rear of the cottage, and be on the Coleridge Way, either towards Porlock, or Porlock Weir, or if you chose to use your car there is so much to explore .
