About this Holiday Cottage

Welcome to Old Malthouse Holiday Cottage in Monksilver. Situated in a beautiful country location on the edge of Exmoor, this attractive three bedroom property is ideal for both relaxing family breaks and walking holidays. Guests enjoy access to a pretty courtyard garden and there is also a local pub with restaurant set a short stroll away. Well behaved dogs are welcome by arrangement and we accept short breaks accept during the peak summer time. 

Inside

The spacious and contemporary lounge has a large fireplace with a wood burner stove, two sofas, a dresser and a 32" LED TV with Freeview and built in DVD player. The modern dining/ kitchen has a table with four chairs and a great range of self catering amenities such as a washer/ dryer, dishwasher, fridge/ freezer, electric oven, halogen hob and small appliances. We have also provided plenty of utensils, crockery, glasses and cookware.

Outside

Guests can relax in the evenings in the attractive courtyard garden with seating and there is also a small lawn adjacent to the private parking area for two cars.

Other things to note

A welcome pack of basic essentials and a bottle of wine is included for your arrival. Heating is via electric storage heaters and individually adjustable radiators. A high chair is provided and there is space for a travel cot should you wish to bring one.

The rental price includes bed linen, towels, electricity, heating and an initial supply of logs for the wood burner stove. Further logs can be purchased locally. Please bring beach towels if they are required.

Availability

Short breaks of one night or more may be available throughout the year except the peak summer time. Well behaved dogs are welcome at an extra charge of £25 per stay. Please note that dogs are not permitted on the furniture and must be restricted to the ground floor of the property. Guests are also requested to not leave their pets unattended in the cottage at any time.

Last minute discounts of 10% when arriving within 21 days of arrival and for longer stays may be available.

Arrival time is after 4pm and departure time is by 10am on your final day.

Around and About

The cottage is ideal for walkers and the Coleridge Way passes through the village. Exmoor National Park is also situated right on the doorstep of Monksilver and a short drive north can take you to the beautiful beaches of the Somerset coast. Alternatively, head east to explore the scenic Quantock Hills - an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The amenities of Williton can be found three miles away and the family coastal resort of Minehead is ten miles away.
