Minehead is a coastal town perfect for families, with its historic harbour, beaches and fishing quarter or alternatively, you could take a trip on the fabulous West Somerset Railway where you will enjoy a magical trip back to the great days of steam train travel on England’s longest heritage railway running from Minehead to Bishops Lydeard. Other places to explore are Dunster (6 miles) with its 11th-century castle, medieval yarn market and a street lined with local shops, tearooms and pubs.
