The garden and conservatory are also noted features, although some guests mentioned the need for maintenance and more kitchenware for larger groups. Overall, the property offers a comfortable and convenient stay, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

The property is consistently described as clean, with only one mention of a musty smell in a bedroom. The overall impression is of a well-maintained and tidy space.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to Dunster Castle, local amenities, and walking routes. It is considered a prime spot for exploring Somerset and Devon.

The cottage is generally found to be comfortable and cosy, especially with the wood burner alight. However, some guests noted that the mattresses in certain rooms were uncomfortable, which impacts the score.

We have just returned from a most enjoyable week at Mill Haven. We struggled at first to find it as the name on the gate is not very noticeable (just look for the big wooden gate, it's the last property before the National Trust café). It is a lovely, warm and welcoming cottage in a wonderful location for many walks from the door and to explore Dunster high street. It's always difficult to park in the village so to be able to leave the car at home is a real bonus. The showers are great and it is generally well stocked (although we couldn't find a measuring jug!). We used the conservatory daily for meals and games and we found it cold and dark so we had to use some of the heaters and lamps from other rooms for it to be useable. We were only a family of 4 so we found the cottage fine for our needs but if we had been a bigger group, we would have found it difficult, especially in the kitchen, living room and conservatory. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would not hesitate to return when again in the area. Many thanks

This property is amazingly situated, right on the doorstep of Dunster Castle (the mill stream is opposite the front door) but also only a few minutes walk from being out in the country.Millhaven itself is charmingly appointed with a lovely modern open plan kitchen and lounge area at it's center which is lively during the day but cosy and inviting at night with the curtains drawn and the wood burner alight. Could not reccomend more!
