Built in 2023, Brook Cottage is a very well presented detached cottage set within the owners’ gated grounds. The bright and airy cottage has an open plan living/dining/kitchen with a Smart TV, dining table and in the kitchen area, everything you’ll need for your stay. There’s an adjacent utility area with a washing machine and tumble dryer, and a separate toilet. On the first floor you’ll find the two bedrooms, one with zip and link super kingsize bed which can be twin beds on request, and the second with a kingsize bed. A shower rooom completes the first floor. Outside and to the rear is a large private patio garden which is fully enclosed, perfect for dogs to run around freely in (but please keep them on leads when not in this area). There are lovely borders with bespoke wooden seating and a luxurious private hot tub.
Within a 10-minute drive you have Blue Anchor beach, a wonderful dog friendly beach with café, the town of Watchet with its harbour and local shops and pubs, or the seaside resort of Minehead which has many shops, restaurants and a beach. The village of Washford is under a mile away with its lovely local Inn. Whilst in Minehead, why not jump on the West Somerset Steam Railway which weaves its way along the north Somerset coast through to the countryside town of Bishops Lydeard. Exmoor National Park, with its dark star gazing skies, is within easy reach being under 2 miles away, and has many quaint hamlets and villages to explore, miles of moors, superb scenery and the famous wild Exmoor ponies. Then there’s the local county town of Taunton where you can indulge in some shopping, dining or catch a game of cricket at the county ground.

Such a beautiful and peaceful setting. Very well equipped and lovely and clean. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return to this little gem of a place.

The cottage is beaitiful, well eqipped, and a very nice touch to have a bottle of wine & crisps , not forgetting the bonio as welcome pack ! It was very very clean. The patio is great to sit outide, longers & table & chairs are all ready for you. Being very picky, had we have known before we booked," no pets" upstairs we probably wouln't have booked, as ours sleeps on the landing at home & woundn't settle on his own downstairs,. The location is one where a car is a must, although buses do stop at thd top of the lane. Dog walking is on the lanes within reach of the cottage, no pavements, and no walk to a pub that we found. The cottage is great, the location not quite right for us, but we had a great time.
