About this property

Archie's is situated in the heart of Minehead, a bustling coastal town lying on the south bank of the Bristol Channel. With designated parking for one car, an enclosed rear courtyard with outdoor seating, and a collection of well-presented interiors set across the ground-floor, this lovely dwelling is perfectly-positioned close to nearby shops and pubs, making an idyllic base for a small family or group of friends seeking a relaxing, fuss-free stay by the Somerset seaside. Step into your charming new abode, wherein you'll discover a well-appointed, open-plan living space, featuring a fully-equipped kitchen where the chosen chef can rustle up delicious, home-cooked feasts, a dining area with a table seating four, and a sitting space with an elegant Smart TV. When day rolls into night, retreat to the bathroom to indulge with a soak in the bath before you finally retire for a much-needed rest in either an inviting king-size with accompanying en-suite, or a twin bedroom with its very own TV. If you can tear yourself from your tranquil new home, set out on foot to discover more of what Minehead has to offer. A brief walk into town will bring you to a plethora of convenience stores and supermarkets where you can stock up on essentials, a variety of independent pubs and restaurants including The Hairy Dog, The Quay Inn, and The Old Ship Aground, as well as the must-visit spots of the Blenheim Gardens, Splash Waterworld, and the beautiful Minehead Seafront. Further afield, spend a full day out exploring the countless wonders of the Exmoor National Park, whether that's snapping shots of Robber's Bridge, hopping onboard a ride along the Lynton & Lynmouth Cliff Railway, getting up close and personal with aviary wildlife at the Exmoor Owl & Hawk Centre, or even embarking on a scenic hike through the areas of Dunkery Beacon or Hurlstone Point. There is also a 18 hole golf course for which day passes can be purchased. Opposite the Beach you will find the Somerset West Steam Railway. Whatever you choose to do during your next stay in Somerset, make sure you do it from Archie's.

The popular seaside resort of Minehead occupies a wonderful sheltered spot beneath the dramatic North Hill, on the lovely West Somerset Coast. This welcoming town boasts a mile long esplanade, providing a wonderful backdrop to the golden beach, whilst the pretty harbour, visited in the summer by the famous paddle steamer Waverley, offers excellent fishing opportunities. Enjoy a nostalgic steam train journey from the seafront on the West Somerset Railway, or visit Blenheim Gardens, winner of many awards for its beautiful floral displays. Renowned for the largest herd of red deer in England, Exmoor National Park with its wooded valleys, pretty bridlepaths and heather clad moors, is well worth a visit, whilst the magnificent Norman Castle at nearby Dunster is a must.

Everything we needed plus! ! Very generous welcome pack .only improvements would be a step in the back garden so it would be safer to use instead of going through the front with the dog but will be back later in the year. Thanks to the house keeper who phoned to ask if everything was satisfactory and it certainly was.

There is a lovely large TV,lots of holiday cottages overlook a good size TV. It is very central to the town and beach . The only downside is the approach to the apartment, there is a small wall you have to step over and there is no handrail to assist you.We are in our seventy s and found it a little awkward. Having said that I would recommend the apartment and would return. Thank you for the food hamper is was a nice suprise

The owner had provided everything you would need for your stay including basic groceries after our long journey ,even catered for our dog. It was warm clean and peaceful. We had a lovely week even in February. Would book again.
