About this property

1 Marsh Gardens is a beautifully presented Coach House located in Dunster, between the village and the beach. It is described as one of England's most beautiful and fascinating medieval villages. Perfect for the beaches, the North Somerset Coastal Path and exploring beautiful Exmoor. You have your own reserved, off-road parking at the rear of the house and the use of the garage to securely store bikes, paddle boards etc. Leave your coat and shoes in the hallway and make your way up the stairs to the bright and airy open plan living area and wonderful views. A great place to dine, cook and relax; unwind on the two sofas as the Smart TV plays your favourite shows. The kitchen has an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, undercounter fridge and freezer, dishwasher, and coffee machine. At the end of the day, you can retreat to the two good sized bedrooms consisting of a double with an en-suite shower room and twin room with family bathroom. Both rooms are both as delightful as the next, boasting contemporary furniture and luxurious Egyptian cotton linen. There is no garden at the property, but who needs one with a great beach less than 1 mile away, perfect for those evening barbecues and watching the great sunsets. The village centre is a short stroll away, offering you a great selection of independent shops, deli, tea rooms, pubs, restaurants and a host of historic buildings and church. Standing above the village is the fascinating National Trust Dunster Castle and Watermill. Jump in the car to visit the coastal town of Minehead which has a variety of offerings, from 3 supermarkets, a mile-long esplanade, golden beach, Harbour, Southwest Coastal Path, Butlins, Golf Course, sea front traditional activities, and the Southwest Steam Railway. The Coach House at 1 Marsh Gardens is a great base from which to explore the coast or the Exmoor National Park.

Dunster is a popular tourist destination close to the North Somerset shore and is a mostly untouched location: the town's historic core still has a lot of old buildings that cling to the narrow cobblestone streets. The gorgeous Yarn Market, a covered area constructed in 1609 specifically to house the wool traders and other fabric merchants, is the main point of the High Street despite the fact that the castle on its hill dominates the entire village. Fine plasterwork ceilings may be found inside Dunster Castle, and the expansive terraced gardens, which also house many rare shrubs and trees, provide stunning views of the sea and the Quantock Mountains.

The coach house is also close to the Steam railway line, and a whole host of mainline food shops are within a mile or so of the property. We would not hesitate to book it again! Thank you

Great view from the first floor dining table. Plenty of room and good facilities.

The apartment was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and spacious with some lovely touches on arrival. The apartment is only 20 minutes walk from Dunster and is also perfectly located to explore Minehead, Exmoor and beyond. We couldn't fault our stay at The Coach House and would definitely stay there again if we returned to the area.
