Guests say

Orchard Lodge is a well-received holiday rental in Devon, praised for its peacefulness, dog-friendly environment, and welcoming hosts. Guests appreciate the property's rural charm, well-equipped kitchen, and the added amenities such as a games room and tennis court. The surrounding nature and wildlife add to the tranquil experience, although some guests noted issues with recycling facilities, worn furniture, and cleanliness of bedding.

Most guests found the lodge to be clean and comfortable. However, there were concerns about worn sofas, flies in the bathroom, and stained bedding, which slightly affected the overall perception of cleanliness.

The lodge's central location in Devon is appreciated for its tranquillity and proximity to local attractions. The rural setting is ideal for a peaceful retreat, though some guests found the narrow access roads challenging and noted the lack of nearby shops.

Guests enjoyed the peaceful and cosy atmosphere of the lodge. The property is generally seen as comfortable, but some guests reported very firm beds and worn sofas, which impacted the comfort level for some.

The lodge is well-equipped with a kitchen, garden, games room, and tennis court. The presence of a downstairs shower was particularly appreciated. However, there were comments about poor internet and phone signals, and full recycling containers.

While the reviews reflect positively on the host's welcoming nature and helpfulness, there is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category.

Perfectly clean, very comfortable with lovely views. Host Clive was very helpful with pre-arrangements. We would certainly return and recommend to others as this is an idyllic place to stay. Thank you.

Everything you needed was in the house. Beds very comfy, Perhaps a stair gate would be good to stop dogs going up and down staircase. Central to explore Devon, but is proper Devon narrow roads.

The living room was comfortable with lovely sofas. The beds were very very firm unfortunately none of us slept well. The kitchen was well equipped with virtually everything needed to cook. Very pleasant owner who even went out of his way to find us a teapot. Unfortunately things took a downward turn on departure day. My 92 yrs old mum had used the bedroom downstairs and when I stripped the bed linen I was shocked. The pillow was very badly sweat stained and the duvet had stains too. I was very upset to find that my mum had been sleeping in that bed and had I realised about the bedding I would have had it changed or bought new myself.
