This property enjoys a lovely location in the small village of Lower Odcombe with its welcoming village pub. The neighbouring village of Montacute only a mile away is home to the National Trust property Montacute House a stunning Elizabethan manor house with a fascinating portrait gallery and impressive gardens. The town of Yeovil can be found just a short drive from the property where visitors will find a good range of shops as well as a choice of eateries. To the south of the property around twenty miles away is the seaside town of West Bay with its sweeping beach made famous in the Broadchurch TV series whilst the harbour town of Lyme Regis famed for its Jurassic associations and fossil-rich coastline is just a little further around the coast. Guests enter this pretty cottage through a stable door which brings them directly to the property s kitchen a modestly-sized yet well-equipped room with an oven hob microwave fridge with ice compartment and a dishwasher. This room leads onto the spacious open-plan lounge/diner with its exposed beams and traditional inglenook fireplace which now houses a cosy wood burner for which logs are included. This double aspect room has a comfortable sofa from which to enjoy the TV/DVD as well as a dining table seating two which is perfect for enjoying romantic meals in the warming glow of the wood burner. Steep cottage-style stairs lead to the first floor of the property where the bedroom is located: a welcoming and restful king-size room which features a beautiful example of an exposed hamstone wall. The en-suite bathroom adjacent to the bedroom has a shower-over-bath and WC. Outside there is a well-maintained garden just across from the property which is fully enclosed mainly set to lawn with a shingle border and offers garden furniture and a BBQ.
