About this property

This lovingly converted barn is situated in the heart of the owner's working farm and enjoys far reaching views. It is a perfect location for those wanting to experience the countryside at its finest, yet with lots to discover on the doorstep.

Located in Somerset yet close to the Dorset border, you will be perfectly placed for exploring both popular counties. There are miles of walks to be enjoyed directly from the property which meander through a rural landscape teeming with wildlife, whilst cyclists will enjoy being on National Route 26 of the National Cycle Network. There are an array of towns and pretty villages to explore in the area including Sherborne, Dorchester, Yeovil and Crewkerne. Enjoy days out exploring National Trust properties, visit the fascinating Fleet Air Arm Museum, or head to the Jurassic Coast to discover the string of fossil rich beaches, including West Bay, Seatown and Burton Bradstock. Step inside this light and airy barn conversion into the kitchen which has space to hang coats and store muddy boots after a walk in the countryside. The kitchen is perfectly equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge with ice compartment, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine; it is a great space for cooking lazy breakfasts or trying out new recipes. From here, head through to the lounge/diner and, after a busy day exploring, settle in for a snug evening with a feast, a bottle of wine and a film on the Smart TV. Head upstairs to the two bedrooms which are built into the eaves of the property. The first is a double and the second bedroom is a twin. Completing the accommodation is the bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC. Outside, there is an enclosed courtyard garden overlooking surrounding fields, great for enjoying your morning coffee or to watch the sun go down with your favourite tipple. Fishing, kayaking and yachting are all possible at the nearby reservoir where there is also a picnic area. There is also ample off road parking available.
