However, conveniently positioned a mile away is the Hunters Lodge Inn offering food all day including full English breakfasts, Carvery and Take Away service. Just a short drive away in Bourton is the White Lion restaurant serving delicious meals, or over in the next village of Buckhorn Weston the Stapleton Arms welcomes you with open fires and a menu to delight. Somerset also boasts the restaurant at The Newt in Castle Cary, The Chapel in Bruton and the famous contemporary Art Gallery, Garden and Restaurant of Hauser and Wirth. If it's excitement you’re after, Wincanton Racecourse has an action-packed calendar of Jump Racing throughout the year. You can also take yourself off to the local market towns of Shaftesbury and Sherborne, both offering lots of history, interesting shops and you will be spoilt for choice of quaint tea rooms and coffee shops.
