Set in its own courtyard and having a fabulous hot tub and firepit to enjoy with beautiful countryside views as well as views of the owner’s sheep and horses, surrounding you, you’ll spend hours chilling out here! Stepping inside through the triple bi-fold doors, the open plan studio layout works perfectly for your romantic retreat, with the extremely comfortable, raised kingsize bed enjoying the highest quality sheets for the ultimate night’s sleep. The kitchen area is well equipped and has granite worktops, an electric hob and full-sized oven, fridge with freezer compartment and a microwave, allowing you to cook a meal at any time of day and then relax on the sofa with a glass of wine or a cuppa! The shower room has been finished to the same high standard, with a large electric shower and heated towel rail for your comfort. Underfloor heating features throughout making the pod the ideal choice for a holiday at any time of year!
There is a working equestrian facility to the rear and if you can bear to tear yourself away, then you are within driving distance of many superb attractions in south Somerset. Nearby are the great attractions of the Yeovilton Fleet Air Arm Museum, the Haynes Classical Car Collection, the enchanting Glastonbury Tor and Clarks Factory Village. There are numerous historic houses, the cathedral city of Wells and onto the delightful Cheddar Gorge and caves, while further afield is the historic spa city of Bath. There is a wealth of attractions and sights to enjoy and on your return perhaps stroll down to the local award-winning village pub, 1 mile away, to wine and dine.

We had such a lovely weekend staying in The Pod. The setting is really peaceful, with a beautiful view from the accommodation and plenty of things to do in the surrounding area if you want to explore, but it’s just as nice staying in and enjoying the calm.The pod itself was spotless and felt really cosy as soon as we arrived. The heated flooring was such a nice touch, especially in the mornings, and the bed was very comfortable. Everything had clearly been thought about, from the well equipped little kitchen with all the essentials, to the good shower and the fridge freezer which made it easy to bring our own food.The hot tub was definitely a highlight. Sitting out there in the quiet with the countryside around us was so relaxing. We also loved making use of the outdoor seating BBQ area with the fire logs.Mr Beaton was a brilliant host, really friendly and welcoming without being intrusive, and made sure we had everything we needed.Overall it was clean, comfortable and peaceful, and we would happily stay again. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a cosy countryside escape.

Booked to stay for three nights. The owner didn't have the hot tub ready for the first night. So only usable for two nights. When questioned about it the reply was "what do you want me to do about it".This attitude to a paying customer isn't acceptable, so I'm listing everything else that isn't as advertised and wrong with The Pod. Listed as having a heated towel rail. It doesn't. No hot water from the taps unless you know the knack.Thermostat doesn't work. Just gets hotter.Decking light missing, another not working.Electric shower has a low flow rate, for a luxury listing this is poor.No indoor table so don't plan to eat anything off a plate.The stairs up to the bad are on wheels and move. Not really that safe.The sliding door to the bathroom makes an awful high pitch noise when you open/shut it. Not great in the middle of the night. Listed as luxury, it's not.
