Numerous National Trust properties, including Montacute House, Barrington Court, and Lambert’s Castle, are within easy reach. For a dose of coastal charm, head to the traditional seaside town of Lyme Regis on the famous Jurassic Coast. We spent 7 days at the Old Dairy Annexe from 11th September to 18th September. We received a warm welcome from Sara and found the property to be in a lovely quiet location, with the added bonus of a lovely pub, serving excellent food, next door. The property is beautiful and very tastefully furnished and was spotlessly clean, with all the necessary equipment you could possibly want for a perfect stay.There are many places of interest within a short drive and we visited several N.T properties, including Barrington Court, Montacute House and Lytes Cary Manor. A visit to Lyme Regis is a must, as is Sherborne which has plenty of independent shops and cafes. Taunton is only a short drive away and there is lots to see and do there. The museum of Somerset, which is free to get in, has a very interesting military section. The County Classic Motor museum is well worth a visit.All in all, we had a lovely week, both in the beautiful property and surrounding areas. If we are ever in this area again we would not hesitate in staying in the property, and will certainly recommend it to friends.Thank you both for a lovely stay.
