First impressions were not good as the fridge was filthy - something had spilt on top shelf and was in each shelf, in each tray and at the bottom - had to be thoroughly cleaned before use. Apparently the cleaner donât have time to look in the fridge. Apology was received from owner. Hot tub had over heated and was dangerously hot so very disappointed not to be able to use straight away. Owner contacted and he came out to sort. No tv in garden room as advertised. House was generally ok but could do with a thorough clean - not up to our usual holiday standards. Bedding is tired and unwelcoming. Remote in main bedroom didnât work and one window in main bedroom would not close. Plug in en-suite broken. Disappointed as no hairdryer. Garden could do with a tidy - grass mowed. Unfortunately the weather was not good so we didnât get to be in the garden much. Very low ceilings and doors could have been advertised - 3 out of 4 guest were over 6foot! We had a great week in Somerset - house was convenient. Kitchen well equipped, good sized rooms and very dog friendly.

The hot tub was clean and the cottage has amazing facilities and base to explore from . Unable to work tv's in hot tub room but this didn't spoil.our experience. Being near to the beach and co op was a great experience no need to stock up on food . Daily dog walks on the beach. Noted to the left of cottage large children play ground enclosed football pitch near main road can be accessed by main road path or footpath behind co op. Lovely quirky cottage with low ceiling in places and steps to bedrooms. Information booklet needs updating with new wifi password found in hallway . Otherwise excellent information on places to visit. And list of takeaways in coffee table .

The lodge was fine in a good location for the beach but on a main road. The lodge requires a DEEP CLEAN especially the oven, in all rooms and maintenance/repairs to the following, which we thought were bearable as we were only there for a week. Downstairs toilet, brown dirty water leaking back into the toilet after flushing. On suite bathroom, door fitting, small leak running from cistern into toilet, pop up plug not working. Kitchen, oven, fridge and cupboards need cleaning. Garden, needs attention, hammocks dirty and broken. Bedding, quilts, pillows and sheets were grey looking, (not as in the photograph),and all need replacing. I have brought this to your attention as I believe the lodge is booked continually for the next year and these points will not be remedied during the 5 hours handover/cleaning period.
