Guests say

Quantock Hideaway is highly praised for its peaceful, secluded setting and relaxing atmosphere, making it ideal for couples seeking a tranquil escape. Guests consistently mention the comfortable four-poster bed, well-equipped cottage, and the private hot tub as standout features. The property is noted for its cleanliness and charming decor, with easy access to scenic walks and local attractions. While a few guests mention minor maintenance issues and the need to bring essentials due to the remote location, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests eager to return.

The majority of reviews highlight the cottage as spotlessly clean and well-maintained, including the hot tub and linens. Only a couple of guests noted minor cleaning oversights, such as crumbs in the toaster, but these were exceptions rather than the norm.

Guests love the peaceful, rural location, perfect for exploring the Quantock Hills and nearby attractions. The setting is described as quiet and ideal for relaxation, though some mention the need to drive for shops or pubs. One review noted an issue with the location listing, but this was not a common complaint.

Comfort is a standout feature, with repeated praise for the cosy atmosphere, comfortable bed, and inviting living space. The hot tub and private garden add to the sense of relaxation, and guests appreciate the thoughtful furnishings.

Facilities such as the hot tub, kitchen, and garden are frequently mentioned as excellent. Some minor issues were noted, such as a small fridge and occasional maintenance needs in the garden or hot tub jets, but these did not detract significantly from guests' enjoyment.

Guests appreciate the well-stocked kitchen and bathroom, with some mentioning small touches like blankets and toiletries. While gifts are not specifically mentioned, the overall attention to guest needs is noted. Please note that any special touches or amenities are not guaranteed for every stay.

Cottage is fine; bit small but clean. Watch out for the fridge though, something falls out every time you open he door! Problem is with the host, who is exceptionally unwelcoming and inhospitable. Despite living a few yards away we had no personal interaction until checkout time when she turned up furious that we were still packing the car (at 10.05, we were on the road by 10.15). When we told her there was only one wineglass in the cupboard she immediately accused us of breaking the other (no we hadn't). Rounded off our holiday by telling us we were not welcome there - which had been evident from the start. Personally I would avoid like the plague. Will be interested to see her snarky response to this review (she has form).

Fantastic. As pictured and described. The perfect remote get away from the world. Shower pressure was great which is often a let down of accommodations, kitchen was clean and equipped. The main living space was perfect for evenings in and the garden with the hot tub was sublime. The surrounding Quantock Hills were gorgeous. Great place.
