About this property

This pretty annexe can be found nestled on the outskirts of the village of Bawdrip, with the bustling market town of Bridgwater in close proximity, it’s in a prime location for the exploration of the Somerset Levels for nature spotting and long rejuvenating walks. This property is perfect for couples seeking a romantic retreat near the coast of Somerset, a lovely location for beach walks and picnic spots. As you head into the private lands of the owner’s home, head through the front door and through the kitchen before taking a seat in the sitting room, unwind with some television before taking on the mammoth task of unpacking. Head up the stairs and into the bedroom. Take a walk down to the garden, with a vegetable patch and fruit for you to help yourself to when in season. In the evenings, the kitchen provides the perfect tools to let you whip up a romantic meal for the two of you with your freshly picked produce. Be sure to head back outside after dinner with a glass of wine and watch the sun set over the hills, with the owner’s orchard in view, it’s a beautiful backdrop to your trip. Combe Cottage offers marvellous cycling routes to the medieval sights of Glastonbury, which is also an added bonus for festival goers, just over 12 miles away, it’s the perfect property for an upgraded retreat on a mud-soaked tent, where you can shower, kick back, and take in scenic Somerset. With the coastline in close proximity, it’s a must-see in the summer months, especially with those swimming trunks at hand, the North Somerset coastline offers luscious sands and opportunities to horse ride, explore rock pools, and spot sea birds, it’s a wonderful place to visit no matter your age or interests.

Bridgwater is a brilliant historic market town, close to the Mendip Hills and the Quantocks depending on whether you drive north or west, it's the perfect area to explore nature and beautiful scenery. The town is rich in history, with various buildings to explore, as well as restaurants, pubs, and a fantastic shopping centre. Famous for its Illuminated Carnival in the month of November, it's the perfect place to get you in the spirit for Christmas, as well as Glastonbury being fairly close, a fantastic stop on your way back from the mud soaked British festival itself.
