A 400 year old stone cottage B&B near Glastonbury, Church Cottage at Shapwick village is an Alastair Sawday Special Place just 7 miles from the M5, Junction 23. Ideal as a gateway into Bath, Wells and Bristol, we're just a stone's throw from Cheddar and the Mendips and ideal for business, leisure and travel stopovers. Brimming with traditional charm and character, our cosy B&B features flag stone floors, heavy exposed beams, a large inglenook fireplace, a woodburner, central heating and an Aga, making us a warm and cosy base all year round.

We offer two uniquely styled double en-suite rooms, with one double room situated in the cottage featuring an en-suite with bath and shower and a king-size double in the separate Potting Shed with spacious en-suite shower. Facilities in rooms include a chiller for milk, well stocked tea trays and televisions. Guests are welcome to relax in the lounge with woodburner or pretty private garden and grounds. Fresh cooked to order locally sourced breakfasts are included in booking, with special diets happily catered for on request.
