The Sett receives glowing praise for its peaceful countryside setting, stunning views, and beautifully decorated, spacious interiors. Guests consistently highlight the warm welcome from the hosts and their dog, as well as the secure garden, making it ideal for families and dog owners. The cottage is well-equipped and spotlessly clean, with thoughtful touches throughout. While a few minor suggestions were made regarding garden seating, TV size, and directions, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests eager to return.

Multiple reviews describe the property as spotlessly clean and very well-maintained, with no negative comments regarding cleanliness.

Guests love the peaceful, rural location with beautiful views and easy access to local attractions such as Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole, and the Mendip Hills. Only one review mentioned minor confusion with directions.

The cottage is described as spacious, comfortable, and relaxing, with excellent heating and furnishings. One review noted the twin beds are more suitable for children than adults.

The property is praised for being well-equipped, with high-quality furniture, appliances, and a secure garden for dogs and children. A few guests suggested more loungers and a larger TV, but these were personal preferences rather than criticisms.

Guests frequently mention thoughtful touches such as dog treats, towels, and welcoming treats for guests. While these gestures are appreciated, it should be noted that such gifts are not guaranteed.

We had a wonderful time staying at The Sett, it has everything you could think of and the views are stunning! Hugh and Sonia made us feel very welcome and their dog Jack was a hit was our youngest son, as were the cows. Great peaceful location in the countryside with amazing views of the Mendip Hills but still close enough to go to everything we wanted to do - Cheddar, Wookey Hole, Weston Super Mare, Mendip Hills activity centre and Brean for the beach and theme park. Our teenage boys loved their time away here and we would highly recommend to anyone who wants to visit this area of Somerset.

We visited Brean, Clevedon, Cheddar Gorge and Burnham on Sea.The cottage is very spacious and airy and was suitable for a family. They provided dog treats, poo bags, dog towels and a dog wash area.We would recommend this property and enjoyed being in the countryside.

A very comfortable and clean cottage. The garden is secure for children and dogs. Lovely views. The owners Sonia & Hugh are very friendly and helpful without being intrusive.
