Drive in through the secure gated entrance into Wellesley Park and pull up outside Wellesley House, open the gate to your private lawned garden and step inside where our holiday home awaits you.
Inside, the ground floor is made up of the beautiful open plan living space. The living area, with its comfortable seating, large Smart TV (free channels are accessed only through signed in applications on the living room Smart TV) and realistic electric fireplace, it is the perfect place to cosy up and relax after a day either on the estate or exploring the local area. The extremely well-equipped kitchen/dining room has a large fridge/freezer, a range cooker with electric oven and gas hob and all you will need to create your meal at any time of day or night! The dining area has a large table and chairs, perfect for gathering around for a meal or to play games. Head up the gorgeous central oak staircase with its glass panelling on the sides to the first floor, where you will find the large family bathroom with double-ended bath, large shower and heated towel rail; the master suite with large super king-size bed, en-suite with walk in shower and heated towel rail and a walk-in wardrobe. the twin bedroom is located next to the bathroom. On the second floor you have two extremely spacious bedrooms, both with king-size beds and en-suite shower rooms.
Outside, your garden is completely enclosed and has seating area as well as lawned area to enjoy.You have full access to Wellesley Park’s fabulous leisure complex, with a fantastic indoor heated swimming pool, sauna and steam room, gym, library and outdoor tennis court (first come first served basis). The pool and gym are bookable for private use with booking slots and are included in the price of your stay. Set just 2 miles from the smallest city in the England, Wells, which can be reached on foot in just 40 minutes or 5-minute drive and has an array of shops, bars and restaurants for you to enjoy. The Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty can be reached on foot also for fabulous walks not to mention nearby choice of stables. Slightly further afield you have the ancient historic town of Glastonbury, famous for both its music festival and its tor, it has a rich history to explore and uncover. The larger cities of Bath and Bristol can be reached in under an hour by car and there are plenty of National Trust properties, cultural events and shows to visit and enjoy.

House is in a nice location but too many issues that need resolving. Disappointed to discover coffee machine not working as well as one of the hobs on the range cooker. A hygiene bag dispenser fell off the en-suite wall in the middle of the night and only 1 bedside lamp in top two bedrooms. Our main issue was the pool which is one of the reasons we booked this property. It was far too cold but when we questioned this we were told the temperature was normal. Believe me it is not normal to watch your family trying to enjoy a swimming session with blue lips and shivering. We took our grandchildren to the local leisure centre where they had lots of fun.

We had a wonderful Easter break at Wellesley House. Peaceful and picturesque. The house has a contained front garden, a spacious ground floor with a very well equipped kitchen, everything we needed (except no egg cups we could find!). A dining table that easily seats 8. A large sofa and two comfortable chairs, a huge TV plenty of room to play card and board games. The double bedrooms are all a good size with excellent en-suites and plenty of storage space. The twin room has the family bathroom next door with a bath and shower. The pool was a cool 29 degrees that felt like 19 to me! But we still enjoyed it. The steam room heated up quickly the sauna not so much. Booking for this and the gym was easy to do online. The gym was well equipped for me but my lads would prefer resistance machines. There are plenty of free weights. We also used the tennis court, with short waits a couple of times.Wells and Glastonbury are only a short journey away. There are plenty of supermarkets there. We had no trouble parking and charging the car. The roads around the hamlet are quiet and narrow so we didn’t go walking nearby because we had young children with us but we met cyclists and runners at times. I’d love to visit again.
