About this Bed and Breakfast

Situated in a central Somerset location just off the A37, Petercott is a refurbished 18th Century farmhouse set in beautiful, rural surroundings close to Shepton Mallet and Glastonbury.  We aim to offer you the same hospitality we would offer friends with tea and cake served on arrival.  You are also welcome to join us, if you wish, for a 'kitchen-style supper' during your stay and relax in our large lawn garden with a glass of wine.  We are dog friendly and our own lovely resident dog is Miss Milly.

We are very close to a wedding venue at East Pennard House and as an extra we fetch and carry from the venue.  People can check in prior (so they can change etc) before going to Weddings and there is always a cup of tea and a brownie or a bowl of soup before heading off!

Guest Rooms

We have two double guest rooms which share a bathroom but we only accommodate one group at a time to ensure your privacy and comfort.  They are well presented with plenty of storage and a desk.  Please note that both rooms are non-smoking but we do permit smoking in the grounds with due care and attention paid.

Breakfast

A daily paper and cuppa can be delivered to your room before you enjoy a delicious cooked breakfast.

Other Facilities and Things to Note

A free WiFi service is available and ample off road parking is onsite.  We can cater for those with allergies by prior arrangement and there is a fridge for storing wine.

Please bring photo identification with you and note that we only except payment by cash.

Well behaved female dogs may be accepted by prior arrangement.

Around and About

We are very convenient for the Bath & West Showground events - don’t miss an opportunity to stay nearby and you are invited to kitchen supper if you so wish.  Early starts not a problem and we offer plenty of off road parking.

Come and stay with us and visit the Glastonbury Extravaganza, the Air Show at Yeovilton and New Wine at Shepton Mallet Showground and the Antique Fair.

Mon-Fri check-out time latest 10am, check-in is from 4pm.  At weekends we are flexible with both.

Directions

We are just off the A37, from Shepton Mallet just past the Travellers Rest Pub on the left we are the next right signed Stone and Parbrook.

We are within 10 minutes of the the A303. Come off at the Podimore roundabout and take the A37 signed to Shepton Mallet and the Bath & West Showground.  Go through Traffic Lights at Lydford and we are the fourth turn to the left, about 3 miles from the traffic lights at Lydford, signed Stone and Parbrook.

Petercott is about 500yds on the Left - the Pink House entrance around corner opposite bungalow.

If you see a red letter box you have gone too far- just turn around and we're the first house on the right.
