Marigold offers modern contemporary living space combined with the cosiness and comfort of a country retreat. The barn has an open plan feel with exposed beams a chic wall mounted fire and full glass doors that all open onto a small decked garden - perfect for summer BBQs or socialising after a busy day exploring the surrounding Mendip Hills an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There is plenty of room outside as the barn is set on a small private estate with the additional attraction of some very nosey alpacas. A paddock can even be provided for visiting horses with more details on stabling available on request.
Marigold is part of a recently renovated farm complex and can be booked with Primrose ref (M163151) for larger family gatherings.
Marigold is approached via a secluded and stunning tree-lined private drive. Although the barn is tucked away in the beautiful and relaxing Somerset countryside it is in fact only two miles from the historic market town of Shepton Mallet five miles from the beautiful medieval city of Wells and within ten minutes drive to Bath park and ride service. In addition it is close to the Royal Bath and West Showground and is also conveniently located for the world-famous Glastonbury music festival. This really is a perfect location to visit everything that is on offer in the great area of the south west of England.

Overall a really great place to stay with a lovely mainly private garden .Access is good though via narrow country lanes in both directions . It took us a couple of days to work out the hot water system - instructions could be clearer . It was a nice gesture to leave us milk and biscuits on arrival and to receive a welcome text from the owners . One slight negative was the plug in air freshener on arrival - it had quite an overwhelming smell on opening the door though this was easily remedied by switching it off. . A huge plus is how quiet the place is which makes it very easy to relax and unwind there .

Beautifully presented accommodation in a secluded, rural setting. Close enough though to Shepton Mallet for essentials and take aways. Many options for day trips in number of directions. Some local lanes were very narrow and twisty with few passing places so quickly learned to stay on more major roads and ignore sat nav.Spacious, well equipped kitchen and dining area. Huge lounge with views onto courtyard garden. Main bedroom a little less spacious but very comfortable bed.
