Typically cosy and every inch a classic Cotswolds cottage, this very charming holiday home also has the added benefit of being within a very easy drive of Bath too. It's located on a very quiet lane (almost above it in fact...) on the edge of the village of Norton St Philip which itself is similarly outstanding and beautiful. Inside, the property has been carefully and stylishly improved. There are stripped wooden floors in the living room with a warming wood burning stove to create a cosy welcome, whilst a smart, contemporary kitchen awaits the discerning cook. Upstairs is cool bathroom and cute bedroom which overlooks the countryside. The owners, famous artists, really have added their creative touches throughout and the result is classy bolt hole for two. We love it! Outside , there is a private garden with a patio and bench, very peaceful and with super country views and within a few minutes you've got two classic country pubs too. Quite heavenly....

This historic Somerset village idyllically rests in the centre of a quartet of aonbs; the Cotswolds, Mendip Hills, North Wessex Downs and the Cranborne Chase engulf Norton St Phillip. Said to be around since the 13th century, the village is home to a Co-op convenience store as well as a range of characterful and traditional pubs, the George Inn is believed to be at least 400-years-old, it also hosts a 14th century Grade II* listed church. There is something to suit every taste in the area surrounding Norton St Philip, from seemingly endless scenic countryside, to the unforgettable locations of Bath, Shepton Mallet and Bristol where you can tour a multitude of high-quality shops, bars and restaurants as well as some breath-taking architecture.
