Poppy Cottage is a cosy two bedroom cottage which caters for up to four people, with an open plan living area, a walk-in shower and a wood burner. There’s a ground floor bedroom with a super kingsize bed which can be single beds on request, with another kingsize bedroom upstairs with an en-suite shower room. Children are welcome at Poppy Cottage and a travel cot and highchair can be provided on request.
Within easy reach of Cheddar Gorge and Caves, Wookey Hole, Wells with its magnificent cathedral, the renowned Clarks Village shopping outlet at Street and National Trust properties at Clevedon Court, Tyntesfield and Montacute House. Splendid walks and cycle trails, and nearby Chew Valley Lakes is a modern reservoir and a mecca for birdwatchers and fishermen. Further afield are Exmoor National Park, the re-developed docklands and shopping of Bristol, and the memorable regency architecture of Bath. Beach 5 miles. Shop 3 miles, pub 1½ miles, restaurant 5½ miles.

Such a well thought out beautiful cottage. Clever use of space and loved the fact that the bedrooms were on different floors (giving lots of privacy) and a Smart TV in each bedroom. Hot tub was a gorgeous touch on a winters day/night. Handy utility area with washing machine and a wet room downstairs. Wood burner in lounge area was lovely and Kitchen is well equipped and easy to use. Upstairs bedroom is very large with a lovely bathroom with large shower. Dressing area and table and thoughtful skylight above the king size bed to watch the stars. Location is peaceful and lots of little walks for our dog on lead. There are stables with loads of horses so the track is used often but there are blinds on every window for privacy. Owner welcomed us to the cottage and there were some welcome baskets for us AND our four legged friend. It’s a few minutes drive to local shop and a Chinese Takeaway. A few minutes more to Starbucks and more food options. Western Super Mare Beach took us approx 20 minutes to drive there. We will definitely be visiting again. Thank you Poppy Cottage for a relaxing break.

Great place very quiet location location, hot tub Great real fire is a good extra. Garden very secure for pets. Nice welcome basket on arrival.Overall nice place would book again.

A lovely, well appointed cottage with everything you could possibly need. Lovely and clean and cosy! We had a lovely anniversary stay, very nice to have some treats on arrival. Your choice of supermarkets a short drive away and a great base for the weekend when exploring local towns.
