Bellhouse is a characterful, spacious rambling house with comfortable accommodation. It is in a glorious, quiet and very secluded setting with plenty of opportunities for long walks. The boundaries of the garden and woodland abut Woodchester Park, owned by the National Trust, and from the house it is possible to walk for miles without crossing a road, hearing a car or seeing more than a handful of people. Wildlife abounds around the five ornamental lakes which run through the Park. The Cotswold Way passes nearby.
The house itself forms the south-west wing of Woodchester Park House, a Grade II listed building. It dates back to the 1860s and retains many original features. Bellhouse's garden is both attractive and private. A courtyard and a further patio area provide sun traps for outdoor sitting and eating. A large lawn surrounded by mature shrubs and trees is good for children's games. The garden is also enjoyed by foxes and badgers. The badgers are often spotted at dusk when they come for peanuts.

The Bellhouse is a beautiful cottage in a beautiful location. We spent hours walking, sunbathing and star gazing! The cottage has a real homely feel and everything was clean and well equipped.

Apart from the garden, which is a little overgrown, the attention paid to detail was excellent. The rooms are spacious, light and airy; the beds very comfortable and with three bathrooms no one had to wait. The kitchen was very well equipped.

Absolutely beautiful property. And perfect for gathering large family groups together for tea. However we had 12 days of picture perfect weather!! No rain. No dryer was not a problem for us - clothes were put on ‘horse’ but could affect long term/winter visitors. Owner did offer use of a dryer if needed. And we missed a walk to pub / it was closed, but being restored, although not an easy walk anyway. Car very necessary for all shopping, long driveway. IHowever it was a delightful visit and everyone enjoyed the house, garden and surrounding walks. The Harrison’s, Key West, Florida
