About this property

This beautiful, detached Cotswold stone house rests in the village of Leonard Stanley, a spacious cottage situated over three floors. The whole family can come together for this holiday adventure, a delightful and inviting base to spend some quality time in each others company. You will feel instantly at home after wandering inside to the lounge, which houses a woodburner and two comfortable sofas, perfect for some peace and quiet through the day. The dining area seats up to six people, and the modern kitchen has a collection of appliances, with a breakfast bar to make those morning times that much more special. A utility area completes the arrangement. Stairs lead up to a family bathroom which boasts a wonderful Jacuzzi bath, with a handheld shower, providing easy access from both the first and second floor. For a peaceful night's sleep, choose from either the twin bedroom, or king-size room, which is tied together with window seats so you can enjoy some 'me time' admiring the views. Two bedrooms are tucked away onto the next floor, two twins, one with en-suite facilities, leaving you spoilt for choice. The enclosed garden is your own little escape for a moment or two relaxing in the hot tub, or enjoying the warmth from the woodburner on the patio area. For some family fun, why not take advantage of the games room, bringing a memorable end to your day. Venture into the village of Leonard Stanley with its wealth of rural life sure to impress, and the village of Stroud, definitely worth a visit; for walking opportunities, sports, and a collection of cosy pubs. For the more energetic in the party take a walk along the Cotswold Way and take advantage of the many canal paths, cycle tracks and the National Trust common lands. An excellent cottage in a superb part of Gloucestershire.

The village of Leonard Stanley is situated just seven miles from the city of Gloucester and thirty miles from Bristol. It is easily accessible by road, just three miles away. The village of Stroud is certainly worth a visit; the undiscovered, hidden, quiet area is great for walking, sports, eating and drinking in cosy pubs. Nestling beneath the Cotswold escarpment, there is much to explore in and around the area.

Thinking of making this an annual event and talked to others about visiting as well. Local pubs are not open so it’s the local social club that’s the option unless you want to drive. Brill stay all in all

    I wonderful place to relax.

It does look a bit sad from the outside. Also we were not told that the dishwasher had broken so that was not ideal. A note could have been left or we could have been emailed in advance. The breakfast bar chairs look like they could do with replacing. Apart from that, a lovely place to stay in a lovely area.
