East Shilvinghampton has been a part of the Bartlett family for over 80 years and meeting Martin and Joby’s cows, goats and hens will be one of the highlights of your holiday. Their son Henry looks after the alpacas and you can take them on a walk for a small fee. Your canvas hideaways are situated close to the farmyard and offer panoramic views across the valley. It's the ideal spot for a family holiday in Dorset.

Our canvas hideaways comfortably sleep up to 5 adults and 1 child under 12, with three bedrooms, equipped with premium, unbelievably comfortable mattresses. You will find a spacious double bed, a cosy cupboard bed, and a handy bunk bed.

From utensils to a fully equipped kitchen, flushing toilet, and your own private shower, we provide all the amenities you will need to make your stay not just comfortable, but relaxing. And with no electricity in the canvas hideaway, you can escape from the daily distractions to focus on true quality time together.

You will have your own wood-burning stove to give you boiling water and cook some tasty meals. With fresh running water, a dining table for 6, and a sofa, you will not compromise on luxuries with us. You also have a BBQ outside your tent, and your own fire pit for toasting those marshmallows under the evening skies. In the summer you can roll up the sides of your tent for real alfresco living.

Please note: we are an off-grid back to nature stay with no electricity or wifi, with many farms having limited phone signal.
