If you wish to travel further afield, then Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites, are only a short 20-minute drive away. The picturesque postcard village of Abbotsbury is under a 10-mile drive and is rich in English charm. Steeped in history and surrounded by delightful cottage architecture, Abbotsbury is home to olde-worlde pubs and quaint tea rooms. Visit Dorchester, Thomas Hardy’s “Casterbridge”, only 7 miles away, or take a journey along the scenic coastal road and call in at Abbotsbury Swannery and Subtropical Gardens.
