Guests enjoy the local pub, scenic walks, and proximity to Dorset attractions. The garden offers a delightful view, enhancing the charm of this picturesque cottage. Some guests noted the low ceilings and small bathroom, but these are typical of older properties and did not significantly detract from the overall positive experience.

The location is highly regarded for its peacefulness, proximity to a local pub with good food, and easy access to Weymouth and other Dorset attractions.

The cottage is frequently mentioned as comfortable, especially the living room sofa. However, some guests noted issues with low ceilings and the need to crouch upstairs, which slightly affected the comfort score.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Badgers cottage

First class. None of us had any issues with bumping our heads and taking the rubbish out took about 5 minutes.

The cottage has comfortably sized bedrooms, living room and dining room. The original open fireplace is a lovely addition although not needed for a summer stay. We liked being able to pop over the road for a drink in the good quality pub-restaurant and loved being able to walk through the fields to the coast and observe local wildlife: deer, hares and many birds. Langton Herring is in easy reach of Weymouth, Lulworth Cove, Bridport and Lyme Regis. We didn’t like the tiny bathroom or having to crouch to move from room to room upstairs. Smartening up the bathroom would help a lot, as would some subtle signage to remind guests to duck to avoid banging their head at the top of the stairs. Parking was fine once we’d worked it out. A map of where to park would be much more useful than the photos provided in the folder. Having to double bag all rubbish, as stated in the host’s information folder, was the worst thing. Having paid a lot of money, being required to fish rubbish out of the bin to double-bag it just so the owner can avoid paying trade rates for waste felt very unwelcome. It’s not our responsibility to help someone avoid paying taxes they don’t like.
