The cottage was situated in a lovely quiet area of Portland, close to the sea for coastal cliff walks to Portland Bill and local seafood at the Lobster Pot restaurant. The cottage is a short walking distance to the very regular bus number 1, allowing you to hop off for different walks on Portland and travels to Weymouth, and you could visit from the railway station.A walk away, open earlier in the week is the informative local museum, and if you are very fit a walk to Church Ope Cove.A good base for sights on the mainland. Our host Peter was welcoming, helpful and informative, available as needed. The cottage was well equipped and comfortable. The fridge has a small freezer box good for cool box blocks. Washing machine and outside line available, just bring your favourite powder. A beautifully kept garden has outside seating. A quiet holiday away from the rush of the south coast.
