Located a short walk away from Chesil beach in the Isle of Portland, Sunset Lodge is a modern three-bedroom apartment.
With beautiful views from the balcony and bright interior with a spacious kitchen and dining area, it is set wonderfully for you to enjoy a meal and watch the sunset over the Chesil Beach. On colder days you may with to snuggle up in the sitting room and enjoy a hot chocolate with a good read.
The area is very popular with water sports enthusiast with National Sailing Academy being close-by and waters perfect for all kinds of water sports.
The Isle of Portland is really great for beachcombing, walking, birdwatching and sailing, scuba diving and angling. You may wish to take a walk around the island or explore inland.
The views from the property are stunning no matter the weather with waves crashing to the Chesil beach. You may wish to go and admire the views from a short distance, it’s an experience you will not forget.
In a few minutes you will find a small co-op and a few independent shops. You can head to Weymouth for bigger supermarkets and for a sandy golden beach which is a short drive away from the property.

On Dorset's spectacular Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site, the village of Fortuneswell can be found on the rugged Isle of Portland, joined to the mainland via Chesil Beach, a pebble spit, which stretches 18 miles towards West Bay. Formerly a quarrying area, Fortuneswell boasts a good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants, along with an intriguing maze of streets that wind their way up a steep hill to offer stunning views of the Jurassic Coast and the rolling hills of Dorset beyond. The surrounding countryside is well known as a birdwatcher’s paradise, plus with great walking and climbing opportunities, an array of watersport activities, wonderful sandy beaches, and Weymouth just 5 miles away, this super holiday destination is not to be missed!

The accommodation comes with a Garage which was a major plus as parking is very limited. The Cottage is in a prime location for exploring the dorset coast, Portland, Weymouth and surrounding areas. I would highly recommend staying here and we look forward to staying again in the future. Michelle and Richard Warwickshire Sept 23

Everything we needed was provided, from the welcome pack, washing machine and dishwasher to the garage for the car (which was a lifesaver as there were never any spaces on the street!). The view of the sea from the upstairs balcony was enjoyed by us all and we experienced some amazing sunsets. There was information provided both for all the facilities in the cottage and the local area. We were very well situated to visit lots of the countyâs tourist spots but also there was a lot on Portland to enjoy as well. When we decide to holiday in the area again we will definitely book in to Sunset Lodge.
