A short walk will bring you to Eggardon Hill, a National Trust site of an old roman hill fort with incredible views over the Dorset countryside and out to sea. Toller Porcorum is a village in West Dorset, situated in the Toller Valley, just over 10 miles north-west of Dorchester. Within the village there is a Post Office with a small shop, while the nearest pub is about 2.5 miles away at Maiden Newton, where other essential amenities can be found. Bridport is home to an interesting variety of shops, restaurants and inns. Two miles south of Bridport is the dramatic Jurassic coast at West Bay, now a World Heritage Site, home to the backdrop for TV's Harbour Lights and the coastal setting for popular Broadchurch, whilst the picturesque resort of Lyme Regis is within 10 miles.
