The Field Shelter is a unique timber pod, furnished and equipped with all of the comforts of home, and ideal for those looking for something special and different for their holiday home. Located at the end of a gravelled track on a quiet farm, in a peaceful and private location with its own parking and enclosed garden, this little gem is perfect for a couples or family break.
The pod is perfectly set up and equipped with a cosy seating area with television, separate dining area with table and chairs, and a kitchen area with oven, hob, and fridge. There are two cosy bedrooms which can accommodate up to four guests in comfort along with a well-appointed shower room. Bi-folding glass doors lead out to a large decked area which is perfect for sunbathing or just sitting and enjoying your morning coffee; and there is an enclosed lawned garden framed with trees and bushes. The stunning countryside all around invites you to walk, cycle or drive and explore, and there are numerous villages and towns within each reach.
Dorset's highest hill forts of Lewesdon Hill and Pilsdon Pen can be seen from The Field Shelter and are well worth the climb, offering outstanding views all across Dorset and Devon beyond. Being close to the Jurassic Coast, there is ample opportunity for excellent coastal walks or enjoying water sports or fossil collecting, so something for everyone.

There are two further holiday cottages, Carousel Cottage and The Stable Annexe, nearby if additional accommodation is required, subject to availability.

The Field Shelter was the perfect place for us to stay for our break. With so much to do and see locally we could have been there 2 weeks! It’s such a beautiful part of the world. It was cosy and spotlessly clean, and to a really high standard. The beds were super comfy and they bed linen was amazing. Camilla was super helpful and responsive, the perfect host. We will definitely be back!
