Absolutely lovely place to stay with lots of character. Lots of thoughtful touches. Would recommend having a car if staying there but otherwise great.

We realise Yawl House is cheaper than similar sized properties and this reflects the very out-dated decor and bathrooms. The house has character which is lovely but also it was pretty dirty, particularly in the kitchen or anything below waist height, especially skirtings .Only 2 showers worked but getting enough hot water was a problem. With 12 of us needing to get ready for a wedding this was not ideal. However the owner had provided a generous welcome with sparkling wine, fruit, flowers, cakes, tea etc and was on hand if necessary. The conservatory, lounges and dining room were fine and comfortable. It was adequate for 3 nights.
