Food lovers will enjoy the great selection of eateries available including fine dining establishments such as Toms or The Oyster and Fish House while the many pubs and restaurants serve a good selection of local food and beverages. Lyme Regis seafront boasts a sandy beach with paddle boarding and other water sports for you to try. Regular boat trips run from the Cobb harbour giving visitors a chance to view the dramatic Jurassic Coast from the sea or spot some of the marine life living in the waters. Situated on the beautiful and unspoilt Devon and Dorset ‘Jurassic Coast’ the area is popular with walkers and the nearby South West Coastal footpath takes in pretty seaside locations and fishing villages and rewards walkers with spectacular far reaching coastal views towards Chesil Beach and Portland on a clear day. For day trips, why not head to the popular fishing village of Beer with its limestone cliffs and pretty beach where it is easy to lose a few hours sitting in a deckchair watching the local fishermen hauling their catches ashore. Or head to neighbouring Seaton, where you can hop on board and take a tram ride along the river Axe estuary through nature reserves to Colyford and Colyton.
