This delightful holiday property, with a history dating back 200 years, is quietly tucked away on the edge of the town in a convenient location and an easy walk from the town centre, beach and seafront.  Nestled within its own private grounds in an unique setting, amidst a vast garden , Horn Tavern House provides a warm and inviting welcome, perfect for large families and groups seeking something special from which to enjoy their holiday by the sea.  Well equipped and comfortably furnished, guests staying at the house will appreciate the easy layout and multiple living areas, with plenty of space to allow everyone to have a relaxing or active time.  The gardens border the property front and back with ample space to sit out and enjoy the fabulous space, whilst offering parking for up to 3 cars on the private driveway.

Location

Within a ten minute walk, guests can meander down to Lyme Regis's bustling sea front and promenade. Often referred to as the 'Pearl of Dorset', Lyme Regis is well known for its literary association with Jane Austen as well as its diverse geology which people from across the world flock to on the hunt for fossils. The historic old town retains an olde worlde charm with small streets filled with galleries, boutique shops and famed gastro restaurants and caf?s.  Its sheltered south facing beaches are safe for children and water sports enthusiasts alike with great fishing and leisure boat opportunities available from the Cobb harbour.  For those who can tear themselves away from the beach, the surrounding rolling countryside, which is an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, boasts walking and cycling in abundance or perhaps while away a few days exploring pretty East Devon fishing villages such as Beer or Branscombe or head to the market town of Axminster to sample Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall's River Cottage.

Layout

Accommodation: Front entrance to hallway with welcome seating and stairs to first floor.  Sitting room with two sofas and armchairs, Flatscreen TV and DVD.  French doors to the games room.  Generous size dining room with piano and comfortably furnished with leather sofa, armchair and dining table and chairs.  Kitchen diner equipped with oven and ceramic hob, dishwasher, microwave and tall fridge/freezer and breakfast table and chairs.  Adjoining utility room with washing machine and ground floor Shower room with WC and hand basin.  Bedroom 1 with Kingsize bed and ensuite bathroom with mixer taps, hand basin and WC. Bedroom 2 with two 3ft single beds  Bedroom 3 with 4ft 6in double bed. Family bathroom with shower over bath, hand basin and WC. Bedroom 4 with two 3ft single beds.  Outside: Extensive gardens around the property, with hard standing area at the front of the property for dining tables, chairs and parasols.

Private drive leads to the house with parking for multiple cars.  One well behaved small dog welcome in public areas of property only (not bedrooms).  Pet charge £25.00 per week.  No Smoking.  Telephone: Mobile reception mixed.  Local Facilities: Shops and pubs less than 1 mile. Beach: 1 mile.  Picturesque and relatively easy, flat level walk to the town centre, beach and amenities.  Arrival 3.00pm - departure 10.00am. Arrival day for weekly bookings Saturday.
