A traditional detached cottage resting in Lyme Regis, Dorset. With excellent access to local attractions and the sea front, Cleve Cottage is the perfect base for families to begin their Jurassic coast adventure. Be welcomed into a wonderful living space by the picturesque exterior and surroundings of this cottage, where a wonderful sitting/dining area encourages you to relax with a coffee before heading out for the day. This space offers a sense of heritage, with roof beams and vintage furniture, as well as homely paintings decorating the walls, and the dining table is great for social mealtimes. A kitchen with pale blue tiles and a great number of home-from-home amenities will cater to your culinary needs, and the designated chef will be able to use this space to create heart-warming meals made from local produce. When sleep calls, there are two bedrooms to choose from, including a double with fresh décor, a hint of seafoam blue and stylish furniture and a twin room where one of the beds is slightly smaller and raised, giving it a bunk bed feel (suitable for children only). A small, yet contemporary shower-room offers a place to soak the sand from your hair before you settle down for the night. Outside, a sitting area with artificial turf will make the perfect spot to recline at the end of the day with a glass of your favourite beverage in hand. The local area of Lyme Regis begins right on your doorstep, with the towns two museums, Dinosaurland Fossil Museum and Lyme Regis Museum, only a short walk from the property. Throughout the area you will find an abundance of craft shops selling home made goods, as well as a variety of eateries to choose from. A local aquarium allows a glimpse into the fantastic wildlife of the coast, or you can take a stroll along the beach where you will be able to search for fossils amongst the rocky shores of Monmouth and Lyme Regis Fossil Beach. The delightful seaside town of Lyme Regis has much to offer its visitors, boasting a maze of narrow streets filled with craft and antique shops, galleries and cafes. Take a stroll along the world-famous Cobb causeway overlooking the ancient harbour, where fishing trips can be enjoyed, or try your hand at fossil hunting in the area. The scenic coastal path offers excellent walking opportunities and spectacular views of the stunning Jurassic coast, whilst the gently shelving sands and sparkling waters of Lyme Bay provide the perfect place in which to relax and unwind.
