Just a 10-minute walk to the sandy beach in the heart of the popular seaside resort of Lyme Regis, with its picturesque harbour and Cobb (setting for the film ’The French Lieutenant’s Woman’), and on the famous World Heritage Jurassic Coast, these two holiday apartments (refs 26437 and 26438) are well furnished and equipped, and have spectacular views over Lyme Bay and the Chesil Beach towards Portland. It is just a delight to have coffee on the balcony or watch the lights of Lyme once it gets dark from the French doors in the living room.

You can amble down into Lyme Regis with its colour washed properties, inns, shops and restaurants, soak up the atmosphere on the front, or indulge in some fishing, boating and fossil hunting. If you are a foodie there is an excellent seafood restaurant, and a lovely view over the harbour is a short walk away, and River Cottage is situated in nearby Axminster. There is lots of good eating to enjoy in Lyme hostelries. Nearby Golden Cap at 626 feet is the highest cliff on the south coast with breathtaking views. Enjoy some scenic walking along this dramatic coast stretching from Weymouth to Exmouth, or visit many of the quaint seaside resorts to be found at Sidmouth, Seaton, Beer, Branscombe, Charmouth and Westbay, (home of the TV programme ‘Broadchurch’). Potter around the antique quarter in Bridport where there is both a theatre and a cinema. Both Bridport and Lyme have a number of interesting shops not found on the usual high street. Canoes and boats can be hired and you can take a trip sea fishing for mackerel. There is also a surf school and sailing club. Lyme Regis has a golf course with a restaurant where visitors can play. There are several historic houses to visit, such as Forde Abbey and Gardens and Mapperton and many family attractions within an easy drive. Seaton Tramway, Crealy Adventure Park, Pecorama, the Donkey Sanctuary at Sidmouth and Abbotsbury Swannery and Tropical Gardens to name a few. The sandy beach is only a 10 minute stroll down through Langmoor gardens. Shop 300 yards, pub and restaurant 30 yards.
