Situated amongst the bustling town of Lyme Regis, this property offers a prime location for exploring the Jurassic coast. Be welcomed into a fantastic open-plan living area after unpacking from the off-road parking spot, finding a homely and tasteful living space with wooden flooring, an open fire where you can warm your feet as you recline in the leather sofas and plan the day ahead of you. Enjoy cooking in this rustic space with an amply fitted kitchen area, taking care of all of your culinary needs, making cooking a social event, where everyone can enjoy a meal together on the central dining table. After spending the day at the beach, enjoy a refreshing shower in the stylish cubicle available with grey tiled walls and stone effect tiles for a feature wall, before snuggling down in one of the three bedrooms available, beginning with a spacious double room with a large window allowing a view of the quaint town below, storage and décor that will make you feel right at home, a twin bed with hints of blue and a twin bedroom outfitted in green, both the perfect spot for children.
Outside, you will find easy access to the bustling seaside resort of Lyme Regis, with many activities on your doorstep, so why not head over to one of two museums, the Dinosaurland Fossil Museum or Lyme Regis Museum, to find out more about the local area before ending the day with a hot meal and a glass of your favourite beverage? There is a local aquarium, or you can head down to the beach and take to the waves in a kayak. Numerous beaches offer a place to enjoy the fresh sea breeze with a stroll along the week known Monmouth Bay or Lyme Regis Fossil Beach, where you can search amongst the foot of the towering cliffs for fascinating fossils. The scenic coastal path offers excellent walking opportunities and spectacular views of the stunning Jurassic coast, whilst the gently shelving sands and sparkling waters of Lyme Bay provide the perfect place in which to relax and unwind. Upon arrival Hive thermostat batteries dead, so no heating. It would not have mattered if the thermostat was working as the boiler was in fault state (low pressure) when we are arrived, so no heating or hot water. I would have hoped this was a basic check when preparing the property? The property was not clean with several cobwebs evident. The property is tired and dated and in need of complete refurbishment. The cost of the holiday far outweighed the experience. We have been visiting Lyme for 20yrs now, using Lyme Bay holidays on and off since our first visit. We have stayed in several different properties and I presumed for the cost of this particular one (higher than we have ever paid before) that I was paying for the privilege of staying at one of Lyme's prime locations and properties. In fact this was the most disappointing property we have stayed in and did not meet the standards of previous ones. I would like to understand how we were given access to a property with a faulty boiler? If this is not being checked, then what else isn't being checked by Lyme Bay Holidays? It's so disappointing as we have come to expect high standards from LBH, but this particular experience has knocked our confidence in booking with you again. I am not one to ever leave comment or review, but unfortunately the disappointment in the stay meant I had to send this.

Everything is fine, but thereâs nothing luxurious about it. The parking space is very handy, but very small, and requires you to park hard up against a wall and climb over to the passenger seat to get in and out, but once we got the hang of this it was fine. The resident of the neighbouring cottage had left a warning note about this when we arrived! We got a qashqai-sized car in the space but anything bigger probably wouldnât work. It does have an absolutely tiny bathroom (just a shower) but it was fine. It can be a bit noisy as you are on a very narrow street, so weekend evenings there was some noise from the pub but it finished by 11ish so was no problem. Weâd happily stay again.
