Situated within the grounds of the Came House Estate, and dating from the mid 18th century, The Courtyard House is a tasteful and beautifully appointed property accommodating up to 8 guests. The rooms are generous in size, and elegant in style.
Enjoying far reaching rural views, this handsome, semi-detached property provides all the splendour and elegance of the Victorian era along with the comforts and luxuries of the modern age, thanks to a sensitive and thoughtful renovation. Guests can enjoy the spacious sitting room with high ceilings, dual aspect tall windows and a roaring open fire. The modern kitchen has ample facilities to cater for everyone, along with a dining table seating up to 10 guests, providing a sociable area for preparing and enjoying those special occasions. Also on the ground floor are a useful utility room and a spacious cloakroom/wc (complete with arm chair).
The bedrooms are located on both the first and second floors, with a super-king size bedroom and a king-size bedroom on the first floor; both with en-suites. On the second floor are two further bedrooms, one with a double bed, and the other with twin single beds. Both of these rooms have an additional 'day' bed for a third guest in each if required. A bathroom is also located on this level.
Guests can enjoy sitting out in the large sheltered courtyard, enjoying alfresco dining or a relaxing drink on the picnic table and benches.
For larger parties of up to 19 guests, The Courtyard House can be booked along with its neighbour The Garden House subject to availability. Both properties can be booked under the combination of Park House.
The Courtyard House and The Garden House are surrounded by beautiful countryside, and are ideally located for visiting the county town of Dorchester, Ringstead Bay, Weymouth Beach and the charming Lulworth Cove.

Its not easy to find a comfortable, good quality residence for an extended family of 20 to stay at but this exceeded our expectations! Having also booked the property next door, we had lots of space in a home away from home. Facilities are excellent and we had a wonderful BBQ on a really high quality gas barbecue burner in the Courtyard which was a really good location - enclosed so younger children were safe yet spacious for bigger ones and the adults. Delightful decoration within and an excellent nights sleep in comfortable beds. With wonderful views who could ask for more! We'll be back!!....and a big thank you to the owners who were discreet but there if you needed anything.

Our stay at courtyard house was truly wonderful. We made a lot of use of the kitchen facilities, which were better than your average holiday stay! The house was tasteful, comfortable and everything we were looking for. Thank you so much for hosting us.

We stayed at the Courtyard House in July 2021. It was perfect for a group staycation. The house is beautiful and stunningly decorated. We also found the location great for getting to the surrounding areas (Lulworth cove etc) and made the most of the spacious courtyard for outdoor dining and drinks. Our host Morag was lovely and very helpful both in advance and during our stay and we loved being in such a beautiful setting next to Came House. Would highly recommend.
