A lovely old building which could have been so nice, but unfortunately it’s not really. On the plus side it is warm ( stayed in October ), plenty of hot water, fairly spacious ( although the bedroom downstairs is cramped ) and reasonably well equipped. It is a good rural location, and not too far to visit places like Durdle Door and Lulworth. The place is long overdue for updating though and should have been cleaner, particularly the kitchen. Mouldy bread in bread bin, cookware sticky and greasy. Seals around worktops mouldy and dirty to name just a few of the problems. In my opinion overpriced for a property so shabby

The cottage itself was nice, but the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The bed linen was clean and furnishings were fine., however there was a spider and several dead flies in the bath when we arrived, the window sill in the living room had three dead wasps and a collection of dead flies. The room at the back(?) hadn’t been swept, covered in dead flies and the patio furniture was covered in leaves and mouldy apples. Needless to say we didn’t use either and left the dead flies for the cleaner to sort out. The configuration of the beds was peculiar, the downstairs twin room was ridiculous, it would have been fine with only one bed, but having the two meant it was uncomfortably squashed even for one person. Whilst upstairs there were two very large rooms one of which could have been a family room, with one of the single beds in with the double. We were very concerned about the arrangement for getting rid of the rubbish. We were told to put everything in one black bin bag and put it directly into the only bin provided and the cleaner would sort out the recycling, which according to a neighbour she didn’t. Any cottage we have ever stayed at we have had strict instructions to keep recycling, bottles, food waste etc separate. The neighbours had food waste bins, bottle boxes as well as green and black bins, but all we had was one small black bin, not exactly environmentally friendly.I would be grateful if you could pass on all these concerns to the owner, thank you.

This property is very quaint , large and comfortable, and a very nice area and central to lots of place's.However we were very disappointed at the cleanliness of the house , the shower in bathroom was awful very mouldy, black mould , and unusable , we had to throughly clean it before use . Having gone out and bought cleaning supplies ourselves . The cups in the kitchen were unusable! We also went and bought cups. This house needs some TLC and a real deep clean , to make this acceptable for living in, especially for the price we paid. Thanks
