Manor Farmhouse is a pretty and beautifully presented period thatched house, with expansive rural views and a river frontage, and situated in a peaceful and idyllic location.
Manor Farmhouse is beautifully presented, and has period features and a light airy feeling throughout. On the ground floor the front door opens to the entrance hall with, on one side the comfortable sitting room which has an open fireplace and a door through to the study. On the other side of the hall is the snug/family room with sofa, armchairs, fireplace, television and bookcases with a large selection of books and games. Also off the hall is the dining room which is open-plan to the kitchen/breakfast room with Aga and island. French doors lead to a garden terrace with lovely views down the valley. There is a laundry/utility room and separate ground floor cloakroom.
On the first floor of the house is a galleried landing off which are the main and guest bedroom suites, both with en-suite bathrooms; two further double bedrooms and family shower room. Manor Farmhouse sits at the end of a no through lane in a peaceful, private and idyllic setting looking out over its garden and paddock and out over the valley of the River Frome. The garden extends to almost two acres and runs down to the river edge where there is a shallow shelf, often used for swimming by the owner.
In front of the house is a gravelled parking area, below which is a further parking area and a games room situated in an outbuilding. With its peaceful setting, spacious accommodation, and extensive garden, the house is the perfect place for enjoying a family holiday in this beautiful part of rural Dorset.

Beautiful cottage in lovely grounds at the end of a country lane. Well furnished and very comfortable. Having the games room with kids (26-66) was fantastic. No downsides except sometimes the road maintenance unit next door could be a bit noisy

The house is beautifully modernised without losing any of the charm of its location and the style of the hamlet. It’s set at the end of a country lane at the top of a sizeable field leading down to the River Frome. Around the house are many beautiful walks through the hills and farms of Dorset, with plenty of alternatives including the beach within a 30 minute drive. The owners have been generous with the provision of crockery and cutlery - as opposed to the familiar rental problem of assorted non matching bric a brac and the furniture and fitments are really good. We found Dorset Hideaways extremely helpful, notably Phoebe who took a personal interest in our comfort. Highly recommended

The owners have thought of every comfort. A very special place to stay. Loved cooking on the Aga. Our Labrador now misses the river at the bottom of the garden, We were lucky to see an otter on our first morning, Looking forward to booking it again,
