Park off-road and unpack easily into this wonderful property before making yourself at home in the spacious 'L' shaped sitting/dining area with a woodburner - ideal for those cosy nights in and double doors opening out onto the rear garden. As stomachs start to rumble, a spacious kitchen encourages you to cook as a family as the handy utility takes care of any muddy clothes. Two bedrooms offer a place to recline after a warm shower or a soak amongst the bubbles, including a king-size bedroom with an en-suite WC and a large wardrobe and a twin room perfect for children. Outside the garden is simply delightful, with a lawn and patio with a seating area for you to enjoy breakfast outside. The local area of Wootton Fitzpaine is one filled with wonderful countryside walks and bridle paths for you to explore, a perfect way to take in the scenery of the local area and explore the wildlife on offer, and you can visit the close by Coney’s Castle for a taste of history. The closest town is Charmouth, under two miles away, and offering a delightful range of shops and restaurants, as well as the well-known Charmouth Beach where you will find a wonderful heritage centre and café as well as the opportunity to take a stroll along the breath-taking coast of Dorset and maybe even search for fossils amongst the shore. The kitchen was fully equipped, clean and smart. Lots of space and seating in the lounge/diner. The bedrooms were large, beds comfortable, linen clean and fresh. The bathroom is small but had everything except for the shower head which was almost completely blocked with lime scale. The patio area outside looked large with lots of seating but March weather prevented use. Most of the house could have done with a jolly good spring clean. There was some black mould on most of the door and window frames as well as dots of old fly poo. There was dust and fluff on the skirting board and in the corners on the floor, plus a few spiders webs. Some of the internal doors which had formerly been dark wood colour had been 'painted' white but there were many patches where the brown was partially visible. The carpets looked grubby. Sorry if this sounds critical but I rented out a holiday let myself for a number of years and I would have been embarrassed to have let it in this condition. Having said this we had a lovely stay.

Everything is catered for and the private and fully equipped sitting out area at the rear is a real bonus. A lovely bungalow in a wonderful country location provides a peaceful retreat after exploring the beautiful surrounding area. We will be back.
