Walkers can enjoy discovering a very varied landscape, from high chalk hills, through the winding lanes of sleepy valleys to the dramatic cliffs of Golden Cap (National Trust). The nearest beach is at West Bay, just 4 miles away, where rowing boats can be hired and fishing trips arranged. Along the coast is Lyme Regis, whose sheltered harbour famously featured as a setting for the film ’The French Lieutenant’s Woman’. The historic market town of Dorchester is 15 miles. Excellent cottage for our young family, well placed and lots to do within half an hour. Do be mindful of the narrow lanes as noted in the description.

The cottage was just great for us in every way. We like being in the heart of the country and surrounded by animals...excited to see deer,. rabbits, etc.Also nearby Bridport nice town, good shops and friendly folk.We'd go again .
